The Project Resourcing Specialist ensures our people are aligned to the work that drives the business forward. As project demands grow, this role centralizes resourcing responsibilities to improve how we plan, deploy, and present our talent. By maintaining visibility into team skills and availability and leading day-to-day staffing decisions across projects, the Project Resourcing Specialist enables leaders to focus on strategy, client relationships, and delivery outcomes. Working closely with Business Unit Managers and the Delivery team, this role owns the evaluation and prioritization of resource requests, makes allocation decisions based on business priorities, capacity, and skill alignment, and determines when external partners are needed while guiding the selection and engagement of those resources.

What You’ll Do
Lead day-to-day resource allocation decisions across projects, maintaining visibility into team availability, skills, and assignments to balance delivery needs and business priorities
Serve as the central point of contact for resource requests, evaluating needs and determining appropriate staffing approaches
Maintain team professional profiles, resumes, and skills data to support staffing decisions, workforce planning, and client commitments
Track certifications and credentials to ensure readiness for project assignments and future skill planning
Identify and resolve capacity gaps, overallocations, and skill mismatches by determining appropriate reassignments or staffing adjustments
Determine when external or partner resources are required and guide their selection and allocation
Maintain accurate resourcing data to support informed staffing, utilization, and operational planning decisions
Prepare and interpret reports on availability, utilization, and skill coverage to guide staffing strategies and capacity planning
Own the improvement and standardization of resourcing processes, tools, and decision frameworks
Reduce administrative burden on leaders by owning resource allocation workflows and staffing coordination
Required Qualifications
3-4 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or delivery operations involving staffing decisions and cross-functional coordination
Experience supporting project-based or professional services teams where work is assigned based on skills and availability
Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining structured data used to inform staffing and operational decisions
Comfortable working across stakeholders and exercising independent judgment to balance competing priorities
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with tools used for analysis, forecasting, and resource planning
Experience with resource management, capacity planning, or project tracking tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Jira, Float, or similar)
High attention to detail and a track record of reliable, accurate work
Ability to identify gaps or conflicts and recommend or implement appropriate staffing solutions
Experience in consulting, technical, engineering, or other professional services environments
Previous experience in a resourcing or workforce planning role with responsibility for influencing or making staffing decisions
Familiarity with maintaining professional profiles to support staffing and client commitments
Experience coordinating with external partners or contractors, including evaluating when external resources are needed
Nice to Have
Experience tracking certifications, training, or credential renewals
Exposure to utilization, capacity, or workload reporting and applying those insights to inform staffing decisions
Comfort improving or standardizing processes, templates, or tracking tools and establishing best practices for resourcing workflows
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
